The role of a catalyst in a fluidised bed reactor

A catalyst is a chemical or basically material that is added to change the pace at which the chemical process is taking place, normally the desire is to increase the speed of the chemical process. The Fluidised Bed Reactor allows you to replace the catalyst of the reaction in a much more convenient way without interfering with the chemical process. It is usual for the catalyst to get exhausted and it has to be replaced in a manner that does not interfere with the reaction. This ability makes the fluidised bed reactor more convenient to use as compared with the packed bed reactors.
